Champions League last-16 draw updates, start time, stream and TV channel as Liverpool and their Premier League rivals Chelsea, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur find out their knockout-stage opponents

Welcome to our live coverage of todays UEFA Champions League last-16 draw as we discover who Liverpool will face.

Liverpool booked their spot in the opening knockout round after winning five of their six Group A matches to finish second behind Napoli. And they will be joined in the draw by their Premier League rivals Chelsea, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur who, unlike the Reds, topped their groups.

That means the trio will be seeded in the draw, along with Bayern Munich of Germany, Benfica and Porto of Portugal, holders Real Madrid of Spain, as well as Italian league leaders Napoli.

The other unseeded teams, along with Liverpool, are Club Brugge of Belgium, Borussia Dortmund, Eintracht Frankfurt and Leipzig of Germany, Inter Milan and AC Milan of Italy, and Paris Saint-Germain of France.

Given the Reds cant face Napoli, or another team from England, their potential last-16 opponents are Bayern Munich, featuring their former striker Sadio Mane, Benfica, Porto or Real Madrid, who came out on top in last years final between the teams.

The draw gets under way at11am UK timefrom theHouse of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland - and you can follow our live updates right here. The draw will also be live on BT Sport and streamed via the UEFA website. Get involved and send your thoughts on Twitter .

All we know so far is that Anfield will host the first leg.

Ties are to be played on either 14/15 or 21/22 of February & 7/8 or 14/15 March.

Real Madrid then. Its a mouth-watering clash for Jurgen Klopps side who have the opportunity to take revenge against the Spanish giants for their recent Champions League final defats.

Anfield will surely be rocking for that one!

Time for Jurgen Klopps side to get their revenge?

No Darwin Nunez derby for Liverpool.

Simon Mignolets Club Brugge are out next

RB Leipzig will play Manchester City.

The dates of the ties will be announced by 6pm this evening at the latest, according to UEFA.

Liverpool will play the first leg of their RO16 tie at home.

Of course, with the Champions League final taking place in Istanbul this season, Hamit Altintop is UEFAs ambassador

Hopefully, it wont be long until the balls are dispensed into the pot.

Oh, how Im sure this man would love a return to the Estdio da Luz. Two-time Champions League winners Benfica are possible opponents for the Reds.

Liverpool next Champions League opponent shows why FSG made mistake following Real Madrid lead

A 92nd-minute goal by a former West Ham United midfielder playing for a Portuguese side in Israel wouldnt normally merit much attention from Liverpool supporters.

But for good reason was there undoubted delight at the news Joao Mario had scored deep in injury time for Benfica in their final Champions League game at Maccabi Haifa on Wednesday evening

The strike sealed a remarkable 6-1 triumph for the Portuguese side and ensured they knocked Paris Saint-Germain - 2-1 winners at Juventus - off the top of Group H on the basis they had scored more goals away from home than their French rivals during the group stage.

And it meantLiverpoolwould be spared the possibility of a return in the last 16 to Paris, with memories of events before, during and after the Champions League final in May in the city still raw in the minds of supporters, who patiently await the publication of UEFAs independent review into the matter.

Seeded teams: AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund, Club Brugge, Eintracht Frankfurt, Internazionale, Liverpool, Paris Saint-Germain, RB Leipzig.

Unseeded teams: Napoli, Porto, Bayern Munich, Tottenham, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Manchester City, Benfica.

Liverpool are the fourth favourite to win the 2022/23 Champions League, according toBetfair.

Of course, much like in 2005, it wouldnt be beyond the Reds to struggle domestically but claim a historic European Cup triumph. Here are the full odds:

How did the other English sides fare in the group stage?

Even though Liverpool are unable to be drawn against any of their Premier League counterparts due to UEFAs country protection rule still being in effect, heres a look at how the Reds domestic rivals have fared in the competition so far.

Manchester City: Advanced from Group G as winners, beating Borussia Dortmund, Sevilla and Copenhagen along the way. Topped the group with two games to spare.

Tottenham- By contrast, Antonio Contes side confirmed their status as Group D winners in the final seconds of matchday six as they fought from behind to beat Marseille. Without a doubt the tightest group of the lot, with the Ligue 1 side looking likely to advance before being condemned to a bottom-place finish thanks to Spurs late turnaround.

Chelsea- Their progression from Group E was confirmed in the penultimate game of their group stage campaign. Highlights include victories home and away over Serie A champions AC Milan.

Just over two hours until the 2022/23 UEFA Champions League round of 16 draw takes place.

Its worth remembering where this years final takes place: the Atatrk Olympic Stadium, Istanbul. Sound familiar?

What time is the Champions League draw? Last 16 teams and TV channel

Liverpool secured their place in the Champions League Round of 16 from Group A with one game to spare as they finished second behind Napoli.

The Serie A leaders humbled last seasons finalists with a 4-1 win in Naples during game week one and that was enough to seal top spot as both sides took 15 points from their remaining matches.

Liverpools second place finish in the group means they can come up against either Benfica, Porto,Bayern Munichor reigning champions Real Madrid when the draw takes place in Nyon, Switzerland.

The round will take place in early 2023, with first leg matches being played on 14-15 and 21-22 February, with the second legs on 7-8 and 14-15 March.

Seeded: Bayern Munich, Benfica, Chelsea Man City, Napoli, Porto, Real Madrid, Spurs.

Well, that could be the reality for Liverpool in the knockout stages of the Champions League as they could be handed a homecoming with former Anfield favourite, Sadio Mane.

Mane, now of Bayern Munich, departed Merseyside during the summer after six trophy-laden years at Anfield. However, with Julian Nagelsmanns side topping Group C - which included both Inter Milan and Barcelona - they are one of four possible opponents for Jurgen Klopps side.

The Reds have not faced the Bavarian giants since the 2018/19 season, when, ironically, two goals from the Senegal international assisted Liverpool in dumping the Bundesliga champions out at the round of 16 stage.

That season would end with Mane and his team-mates lifting the highly coveted trophy just three months later after they beat Tottenham Hotspur in an all-English final in Madrid.
